It sounds like this was another fairly quiet week - Lone Pine is pretty small, so they don't have a lot of people around to talk to and interact with. But they did manage to have some nice interactions this week.
In good news, their friend Holly is very interested in being baptized and joining the church, so that is very exciting for her. Unfortunately for Elder Wood and his companion, it won't be by them, since she is moving to Kentucky this week. But hopefully she will connect there with some other wonderful missionaries!
In Lone Pine this week, they did meet a new friend, Betty, who is interested in learning more from them. Her granddaughter (apparently around 10 or 11), who lives with her, is especially interested in being able to go to church, so hopefully they'll see them there soon.
For their Preparation Day this week, they didn't go up to Bishop since the companionship there had other plans. Instead, they stayed home and decided to cook! Apparently they get a lot of food from the food bank where they do service each week. The food bank can't use all of the things that it is given, so they send the elders home with some extras, and one of them recently was a frozen turkey. You can see the photo below as they were getting it all ready to cook - I haven't heard yet how it turned out, but hopefully it was delicious!
I didn't get the backstory here - maybe it is just Elder Wood with a large woodpile? |

Another bird photo. Some week I'll post all of the bird photos for the week and you'll appreciate how many I am sparing you. |
